About our Boots
Safety boots are bought on their rating first and their comfort second, and both are on the product page here. This range covers steel and composite toe-cap boots, rigger boots and safety trainers from Portwest Steelite and Compositelite, from S1P for dry indoor work to S3 and S5 for wet sites, with the EN ISO 20345 class, sole and toe-cap type listed against every pair.
Boots are not branded, but they belong in the same order as the rest of the uniform: add them to a basket with embroidered polos, trousers and jackets and the whole kit ships together. Baskets over £100 get 10% off automatically and UK delivery is £6, free over £300.
Sizing is the usual question. Every boot lists its size range and most of the Portwest range runs true to UK sizes; if you are kitting out a crew, the staff-order tool takes a size per person and adds them all at once, and companies and councils can order on a purchase order.
Boots questions
What do S1P, S3 and S5 mean on a safety boot?
They are EN ISO 20345 classes. S1P is a toe cap with a penetration-resistant midsole for dry conditions, S3 adds a water-resistant upper for wet sites, and S5 is a fully waterproof boot such as a rigger or wellington. Each product page states its class.
Steel or composite toe cap?
Both meet the same impact standard. Composite is lighter and does not conduct cold or set off metal detectors; steel is usually cheaper. The product page says which the boot has.
Can I order boots with my branded workwear?

UK delivery is £6.00 and free on orders over £300, or collect from our shop in Lowestoft.
